UPDATE - NEW INFORMATION

THE  FOLLOWING  STATES  NOW  RECOGNIZE  OHIO  CONCEALED

NORTH CAROLINA          SOUTH CAROLINA

WASHINGTON (state)               WYOMING
         UTAH                                OKLAHOMA


NOTE: Persons considering carrying concealed handguns in these states should
contact that specific state for additional information on their laws
pertaining to the transportation and carrying of concealed handguns.

 

APPLICATION  PROCESS

 

Muskingum County Sheriff's Office will be accepting applications on the following days
and times listed below in the Sheriff's Office Administration Building.
(Located on the second floor of the National City Bank Building across from the jail)

 

 

FUTURE  DATES AND TIMES :  (beginning Monday, APRIL 19th until further notice)

Applications will be taken during the following days and times each weekday:
                               MONDAY                   9:30am - 3:30pm
                               WEDNESDAY            9:30am - 3:30pm
                               THURSDAY                9:30am - 3:30pm


Note: During the above times the records department will be open to normal business also.
 

Applicants are encouraged to download the application from the site below but not date it.

Applicants are also encouraged to download the pamphlet and are required to read it prior to application.

This information is being provided to prospective instructors or entities wanting to provide training to members of the public who wish to carry a concealed handgun.

This information is referenced in O.R.C.2923.125.

It is strongly suggested instructors cover "Responsible Persons Carrying Concealed Handgun." A violation of those may result in criminal charges.
