The Property Management facility is located at 1370 Old Adamsville Rd, Zanesville. This is where evidence, towed vehicles and found property are stored for the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office.
An individual wanting to claim property is encouraged to contact us at (740) 588-4387, between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
You must be able to supply proof of ownership when claiming a piece of property such as a sales receipt, owners manual with model and serial numbers, etc. Towed vehicles have certain requirements and fees that must be met and paid before a vehicle can be released. Please contact the law enforcement agency that had your vehicle towed to find out these requirements.
For the payment of fees, we accept cash, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover), cashier’s check or money order. Personal checks are not accepted. Credit card payments must be processed at our 1840 East Pike, Zanesville location prior to claiming property at the Property Management facility.
